Indian Law

Native American Research

I also have gained familiarity with the vast body of records created by the American federal government’s interactions with Native American tribes over the course of the last two centuries through research supporting legal and historical endeavors by tribal governments. Primary Indian records collections includes the Bureau of Indian Affairs’ Central Classified File and the Indian Claims Commission at the National Archives, plus other bodies of records at the Department of the Interior and private law libraries specializing in Native American law.
