Research Institutions I’ve Used

Since Ab Initio Archives Research, LLC launched in 2006, I have used a great variety of archives, museums and libraries throughout the United States and abroad.

My primary work experience has been at multiple locations of the US National Archives, including the main Archives buildings in Washington, DC and College Park, MD, but I have also used many of the regional archives facilities and presidential libraries in Boston, Philadelphia, Kansas City and Denver.

In the greater Washington, DC area, I have also done research at the Library of Congress, the National Library of Medicine, the Department of the Interior Library, the State Department Library, the Naval Heritage and History Command, the National Air and Space Museum Archives, Georgetown University’s Special Collection Division, George Washington University’s Special Collections and University Archives, the District of Columbia Public Library’s Washingtoniana Division and the DC Historical Society.

My research overseas has taken me to many fascinating places such as the Politisches Archiv des Auswärtigen Amts in Berlin, Germany, the Bundesarchiv in Freiburg, Germany, the Israel State Archive in Jerusalem, Israel and the Beit Aaronsohn and NILI Museum Archive in Zichron Ya’aqov, Israel.
